Regulatory & safety

Ready for every shelf, before it leaves.

A fragrance may only be placed on a market once its formula, its label and its file are in order. We review each of them with you, step by step, before the first bottle travels.

The review

Six steps, one file.

  1. IFRA conformity

We check that every fragrance ingredient stays within the limits of the current IFRA Standards for your product category, and obtain the IFRA certificate from your fragrance supplier. We follow each new Amendment as it is notified.

  2. Allergen labelling

We calculate the fragrance allergens present in the finished product and review your ingredient list against the expanded EU list, so the label declares every allergen above its threshold.

  3. Safety assessment

Your formula, raw-material data and test results are assembled for the Cosmetic Product Safety Report, signed by a qualified safety assessor.

  4. Product Information File

We compile the Product Information File: product description, safety report, manufacturing method and good manufacturing practice statement, proof of claims and supporting data.

  5. Skin compatibility testing

Where your safety assessor requires it, we organise patch and tolerance testing with an independent laboratory.

  6. Notification & labels

We prepare the notification on the EU Cosmetic Products Notification Portal through your Responsible Person, and review the final artwork: ingredient list, mentions, symbols and translations.

Beyond Europe

Each market has its own rules: product listing and facility registration in the United States, product registration in the Gulf states, and the requirements of each new distribution market. We prepare the files your importer and the local authorities will ask for.

For the journey

The same file feeds your shipments: safety data sheet, dangerous-goods classification and customs description, so the regulatory and the logistics sides always agree.
